Momentum has been building for months, and now the big Not Evil Just Wrong day is finally here. Come Sunday at 8 p.m. EST, it’s time for a cinematic tea party! All across America and around the world, people will display their movie posters, roll out their pieces of red carpet, and help Ann and Phelim set a world record for a simultaneous movie premiere. The resistance against Al Gore and his cronies of capitalistic destruction begins now! With 6,000 screening in 27 countries, it’s going to be one amazing party. There will be premieres in every state as consumers fight to protect their American Dream from draconian regulations inspired by global warming hysteria. How excited are people about this premiere? The announcement on the Web site of the Heritage Foundation, where Ann will speak along with headliners like Andrew Breitbart of Big Hollywood and Big Government fame, says it all: “The auditorium is at capacity. No more RSVPs will be accepted.” Professors Richard Lindzen and Don Roberts, two of the characters in Not Evil Just Wrong, also will speak at the Heritage screening. And Christopher Lord Monckton, who also appears in the film, will be part of the premiere at Texas A&M University in College Station. Canadians are part of the resistance, too. Every province there will be part of premiere night, and Phelim will host one in Toronto. [Ed’s note: Phelim will actually be at the Vancouver premiere]
Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore, another expert interviewed in the documentary, also will join the party at Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver, where the movie will play on the big screen. The Fraser Institute is supporting that effort. Here’s a sampling of other public screenings on premiere night:
Get the details about other public premieres of the movie on the Not Evil Just Wrong site and at our Facebook fan page. If you’re not already one of our fans, please join the more than 4,300 people who have joined our online resistance there. And if you really want to be wowed, take a gander at our Google map of premieres around the world. It includes both public premieres and those in people’s homes. It’s the perfect portrait of a cinematic tea party in action, and you can be part of it!Source

In last week’s offering, I dissected the disreputable arguments against global warming skepticism of public relations consultant and David Suzuki acolyte, Jim Hoggan. To repeat, Hoggan has co-authored a book attacking global warming doubters as generally being tied to Big Oil.He even appeared on The Bill Good Show, and with the complicity of the shows producers and host, Hoggan basked in the balminess of his own CKNW-endorsed infomercial. It was a pathetic segment. Thus, I was critical of Hoggan’s on-air shenanigans and the refusal of The Bill Good Show to mollify such nonsense.Well, you’d think I had advocated for the choking of puppies. Within hours, Hoggan had penned an misleading letter to the editor of this august publication and, within days, two other alarmists had written equally deceptive screeds.I’m a “hyper-conservative”, screamed one lad. Really? I strongly support gay rights, including marriage; advocate for funding child care, health care and education, first; know the Olympics are being delivered on the backs of the poor and believe the HST is a hurtful policy that will take food from the table of many a needy family. But I am a terrible chap, no?My column was “breathtaking” in its pretense, according to another fellow, because I was attacking Hoggan for “talking about climate change without expertise”.Manifestly, this same fellow has a reading comprehension problem. My issue with Hoggan remains that he wrote a book about how (in his words) “almost all deniers are connected to big oil.”Quite apart from the offensive term “denier”, which should be reserved for those insufferable bastards that deny the Holocaust, Hoggan’s broad sweeping statement is untrue. I am, simply put, offended that Hoggan, without a scintilla of climate credentials, criticizes genuine researchers as being bought and paid for. There are hundreds of legitimate scientists, worldwide, suggesting that our planet may have even cooled in the last eight years and that previous climate models are wrong.Nevertheless, it was Hoggan’s letter that tells you everything you need to know about global-warming alarmists and their ilk. He tried desperately to defend Green guru Al Gore, and his discredited drama, which, I submit should be renamed A Profitable Lie, from the significant criticisms delivered in October 2007, by Mr. Justice Burton of the British High Court. He contorted the decision: The plaintiff was a “failed right-wing politician,” according to Hoggan. And here are Hoggan’s words from his appearance on The Bill Good Show, not one week earlier. “Most critics try to paint this issue (global warming) as a political issue, a right versus left issue … and it’s not.”Do you see the weeping craftiness? It is a political issue only when it suits the alarmists. My friends, the reality is that global warming alarmism is being revealed, with greater momentum, on each day that passes, because the predictions of planetary apocalypse are summarily not true.Hoggan, whose limitless capacity for overstatement, is just another apologist for a movement that costs young families extra at the check-out counter, in “green” products that might facilitate eco-fantasies, while China sells 25,000 cars per week and builds a coal-burning plant every six days. You never hear Hoggan or any of his left-wing counterparts criticizing their own, even though the Clinton Administration (with Al Gore as Vice-President) sat on the Kyoto Protocol for two terms. They rail against Stephen Harper, even though, Jean Chretien and Paul Martin twiddled their thumbs for years, after the Liberals stupidly ratified such a sham initiative that would ravage the Canadian economy. The end game is that global warming alarmists need you to be afraid; to buy themselves time, in the flawed aspiration that their decade-old fairy stories about man-made climate ruin will finally emerge. They are required to excuse failing predictions as being impervious to reasonable query and to attack people like me, when, frankly, I have only one interest in all of this: Protecting you and your families from the relentless tales that line the pockets of giddy hucksters and dancing gremlins.agtsakumis@shaw.ca
One of the highest priorities of the current federal administration is to pass legislation limiting human emitted greenhouse emissions, based on the belief that reducing these emissions will lead to measurable declines in global temperatures. A bill to implement this policy, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, passed the House earlier this year by a narrow margin and, on September 30th, the Senate Committee released its version of the bill named the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act.
Unfortunately, most Americans are not aware of what a cap-and-trade program is, other than what they hear from advocates of the program who also speak about creating “green” jobs, providing energy security and reducing “pollution.” The truth is, cap-and-trade is a complex energy tax (essentially an energy-rationing scheme) that affects all levels of production and economic activity.
A national cap-and-trade program will cause significant financial burdens on Oregonians, decrease economic growth, and lead to no measurable change in global temperatures or global emission levels.
Because of both the lack of environmental benefits and the substantial costs associated with climate legislation, Cascade Policy Institute is spearheading a video campaign to educate politicians and the American public about the dangers of implementing a federal cap-and-trade program.
After months of interviews featuring policy analysts, writers, economists, scientists and activists, Cascade Policy Institute has finished Climate Chains, a 22-minute documentary that exposes extreme environmentalism and the misguided pursuit of cap-and-trade legislation. Climate Chains not only explains the dangers of this legislation but offers an alternative to top-down regulation in the form of free market environmentalism.

It has been nearly three decades since I first wrote that “global warming” was a hoax and I have had to repeat myself countless times since then. Along the way I met many of the so-called “deniers” and dissenters. I had correspondence with others. We all knew that Al Gore was lying. We all know that President Obama is lying,
And yet the lies continue. The most amazing aspect of the hoax is that, despite a decade of global cooling, the mainstream media, print and electronic, relentlessly continue to write about “greenhouse gases” as if they have anything to do with the Earth’s climate.
The primary greenhouse gas in the Earth’s atmosphere is 95% WATER VAPOR. The primary source of warming and cooling on Earth is the SUN.
The claim that carbon dioxide (CO2) has anything to do with the climate, other than to react to changes in it hundreds of years after they occur, is totally discredited, but I still read magazines like Business Week or The Economist, Time and Newsweek, as well as newspapers, whose reporters and editors demonstrate an astonishing ignorance—a willful ignorance—by continuing to publish global warming lies saying that CO2 emissions must be reduced..
Even the advocates of global warming began to speak and write about “climate change” several years ago in order to avoid the obvious fact that the Earth began cooling in 1998.
Climate change!
As if the Earth’s 4.5 billion year history is not one long record of climate change!
As if there would be any life on Earth without carbon dioxide, the plant food of all vegetation that in turn sustains animal life.
Led by Joseph Bast, The Heartland Institute, a non-profit, free market think tank has been at the forefront of the battle for truth for many years. In 2008 and 2009, the Institute brought together the finest minds from the world of meteorology and climatology in conferences that were a marathon of scientific symposia that laid waste to the bogus claims of global warming.
I attended both conferences and had an opportunity to meet some of the “deniers”. In the beginning there were a handful such as Dr. Richard S. Lindzen, the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meteorology, Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He does not suffer fools easily.
Others who joined the struggle against an avalanche of lies about “global warming” included Drs. Patrick J. Michaels, Robert Balling, Tim Ball, and S. Fred Singer, an atmospheric physicist at George Mason University and founder of the Science and Environmental Policy Project, a think tank on climate and environmental issues.
There were other academics that included Dr’s Willie Soon, Joseph D’Aleo, Vincent Gray, and William Gray, all meteorologists and climatologists of international repute, as well as Howard Hayden, an Emeritus Professor of Physics.
In time, a handful of skilled science writers translated the data for the public. They include Christopher C. Horner, Marc Morano, Steven Milloy, Jay Lehr, and Paul Driessen. Dennis T. Avery, a senior fellow of the Hudson Institute, wrote articles that gained favor with the mainstream media and did much to undermine the global warming lies.
Think tanks such as The Heartland Institute, the Hudson Institute, the Competitive Enterprise Institute, and the Business & Media Institute all deserve praise for taking leading roles in disputing and debunking the global warming hoax.
Editor’s note: There are others unnamed for purposes of length, but who are no less deserving of honor.
The propaganda war to smear these men continues to this day. A favorite tactic to discredit them was to post “biographies” on Wikipedia suggesting they were all in the pay of corporations and could not be trusted.
The work of these think tanks and individuals is hardly over. The horrid “Cap-and-Trade bill, its name changed in the Senate to deceive everyone into believing it’s about the foolishness of so-called “clean energy”, is a nightmare of taxation on energy use and a vast transference of billions to near useless “renewables” (solar and wind).
At the same time, access and use of America’s vast energy reserves of coal, natural gas, and oil continues to be denied by a Congress and administration that is hell bent on destroying the nation’s economy.
The “deniers” are being vindicated by Mother Nature. The truths they have been telling are showing up this year in America and around the world in early snowfalls, icy road conditions, and blizzards to come that will bring entire cities to a standstill. Spring and summer may be a little late in 2010.
In time, the “deniers” will be honored for their service to humanity, for their courage, and for hopefully saving this nation and others from the torrent of deceit coming out of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and every environmental organization in America and worldwide.

I think the BBC wanted to slip this one out quietly, but a Matt Drudge link put paid to that. The climate change correspondent of BBC News has admitted that global warming stopped in 1998 – and he reports that leading scientists believe that the earth’s cooling-off may last for decades.
According to research conducted by Professor Don Easterbrook from Western Washington University last November, the oceans and global temperatures are correlated. The oceans, he says, have a cycle in which they warm and cool cyclically. The most important one is the Pacific decadal oscillation (PDO). For much of the 1980s and 1990s, it was in a positive cycle, that means warmer than average. And observations have revealed that global temperatures were warm too. But in the last few years it has been losing its warmth and has recently started to cool down. These cycles in the past have lasted for nearly 30 years. So could global temperatures follow? The global cooling from 1945 to 1977 coincided with one of these cold Pacific cycles. Professor Easterbrook says: “The PDO cool mode has replaced the warm mode in the Pacific Ocean, virtually assuring us of about 30 years of global cooling.”
Hudson’s piece must have been a nightmare to write: talk about an inconvenient truth. All the caveats are in place, distancing him from hardline sceptics and giving plenty of space to the climate change orthodoxy. But, in fact, his scrupulous approach only makes matters worse for BBC executives who have swung the might of the corporation behind that orthodoxy, often producing what amounts to propaganda. The BBC now has serious questions to answer. It has used millions of pounds of licence-payers’ money to advance a simplistic point of view that is beginning to fall apart under scrutiny. Did it not foresee that this might happen? And, now that statistics are beginning to point in the other direction, is it prepared to give equal prominence to a debate about climate change that is both respectable and urgent?Source H/T to David, via email

As the greatest hoax of the modern era, “global warming”, bites the dust around the world, it behooves us all to contemplate why environmentalists—Greens—would attempt to hoodwink the world’s population into believing they could do anything to “control” the planet’s climate.
One singular fact stands out in all Green propaganda and permeates all the legislation and other programs they sponsor. It is a contempt and disdain for the Earth’s human population. The leaders of the movement hate humanity. Obsessed with population growth, anything that can reduce it—disease, poverty, famine, or lack of energy is pursued as part of the Green agenda.
The Green movement grew out of an earlier, more salutary one, conservation. We can surely thank Americans such as John Muir and others who sought to preserve tracts of wilderness such as Yellowstone and the nation’s forested areas from the rampant depredations of the 1800s and early 1900s. The nation owes a debt of gratitude to President Theodore Roosevelt for the initial creation of national parks and forests.
As the nation industrialized, rivers suffered pollution and the air was polluted by factories that befouled both. In 1970 President Richard M. Nixon signed into being the Environmental Protection Agency which, empowered by the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts, can be credited to early success.
However, like all government agencies, the EPA has steadily sought to expand its powers and, aided by other environmentally related agencies such as the Fish and Wildlife Service and the Corps of Engineers, it has relentless pursued ever larger control over all the land and waters of the nation, and by extension over everyone’s life.
They pose a threat to the constitutionally protected right to private property, vital to the nation’s economy and a keystone of capitalism.
The growth of literally hundreds of “environmental” organizations has led to an endless barrage of scare campaigns, often without any basis in science, and used to undermine the industrial, agricultural, and transportation sectors of the nation’s economy.
On a global scale, the United Nations Environmental Program and its Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change have pursued an agenda devoid of scientific merit or justification.
Greens lie and they lie all the time
The lies about Alar came close to wrecking apple growers. The lies about the spotted owl species laid waste to the northwest’s timber industry. New claims about alleged dangers from plastic bottles are based on lies.
The lie that carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, has anything to do with “warming” has driven the totally deceitful “global warming” hoax and is used to create a market for worthless “carbon credits” that ultimately increase the cost of energy and everything else.
The introduction of the Endangered Species Act is one long history of near constant failure in pursuit of a foolish goal, advocating for obscure species while thwarting all manner of projects useful to the human species. It has been used to impoverish farmers in Oregon and California.
The truth is that the Earth is actually cooling, not warming. Carbon Dioxide is not a “pollutant.” The North and South Poles are not melting. Sea levels worldwide are not rising any more than they have for millennia. Polar bears are thriving. Solar and wind energy is a bust, providing barely 1% of all electricity used daily nationwide.
The truth is that pesticides protect people against insect and rodent-borne diseases and property damage. Saving “endangered species” ignores the fact that 95% of all the species that previously existed are now extinct.
The truth is that nothing humans do has any affect on the climate that is dependent on solar and ocean cycles.
The Greens are now famous for their campaigns against products from toilet paper to plastic bags, bottles, and everything else made from plastic, a petroleum derivative. Anyone who buys “environmentally” approved products is being charged a premium for their own gullibility. Every supermarket and store in America has comparable, safe products at far lower costs.
Americans are constantly harangued to adopt Green lifestyles. Generations of young Americans have suffered the child abuse of being told that the Earth is doomed despite its 4.5 billion year existence.
Corporations that advertise and promote their “Green” credentials pander to environmental hoaxes in order to avoid criticism and generate an “environmentally friendly” public image.
The real environmental message speaks to a hatred of humanity and the many technological, medical, agricultural, and other achievements that have enhanced, improved, and saved the lives of millions.
If you hate energy, join an environmental organization.
If you hate science, join an environmental organization.
If you hate jobs in America, join an environmental organization.
If you hate industrial and agricultural development and progress, join an environmental organization.
And if you hate humanity, join an environmental organization.

By Not Evil Just Wrong
The Society of Environmental Journalists spent much of their conference in Madison, Wisconsin questioning why mainstream journalism was dying. Then they answered their own question when they decided it was their role to protect Al Gore from An Inconvenient Question.
Phelim McAleer, the director of Not Evil Just Wrong, asked Al Gore about the British Court Case which found his documentary An Inconvenient Truth had nine significant errors. McAleer said that given his documentary is being shown in schools – does he accept the errors and has he done anything to correct them?
McAleer said that given his documentary is being shown in schools – does he accept the errors and has he done anything to correct them?
However, Mr Gore declined to address the issue and when asked for a straight answer from McAleer – the response of the Society of Enironmental Journalists was not to applaud one of their own for bringing truth to power but instead they cut the mic of a journalist.
It seems it is more important to protect a wealthy politician/businessman than to allow a journalist to ask inconvenient questions.
And they wonder why no one wants to buy their journalism.

It’s truly extraordinary how every left-of-centre journalist in the country has managed to become an instant expert on the arcane subjects of global warming and the science of climate change.
Imagine, for example, if some average Canadian hack who had never studied the Middle East suddenly announced that he was an authority on Israel-Palestine, knew which side was right and knew how to solve all of the associated problems.
This, however, is what we are told every day when it comes to the fashion of sounding green. The more sympathy we can exhibit for Al Gore’s polar bear or David Suzuki’s whining, the more trendy and acceptable we become.
There are, however, an increasing number of peer-reviewed and intensely credible scientific minds who believe conventional thinking on global warming is nonsense.
One such being Lord Christopher Monckton, former science adviser to British prime minister Margaret Thatcher and a world-renowned scholar.
He was in Canada recently and appeared on my television show. A man of compelling wit and eloquence, he has defeated so many environmental activists — he calls them “bedwetters” — that few of them will now debate him.
“Al Gore has refused several times. Here is a man who is paid $300,000 per speech and has his staff control all of the questions that are asked. People ask why he is so committed,” Monckton said. “Simple. He was a failed politician worth $2 million; he’s now a famous activist worth $200 million!”
According to Monckton there are more than 700 major scientists who steadfastly refute the notion that the climate is changing to any worrying degree, that global warming is a reality and that the planet is in danger.
“It’s all about the need of the international left to rally round a new flag.”
Minimal
In a series of articles he appears to show that Earth’s sensitivity to increased atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide is minimal.
“Take the example of the medieval warm period,” he says. “The bedwetters tell us that this was brief and irrelevant. Yet if we look at history we see it wasn’t brief and is certainly relevant. Climate does change but it’s minor and it has little if anything to do with man’s intervention.” A brief pause. “It’s about money and control. There is a lot of money to be made out of the so-called green economy and it allows people to tell us what to do — which is what some people relish doing.”
He continues: “Remember DDT, the pesticide used to kill mosquitoes that carried malaria. Jackie Kennedy read a book saying it was harmful, got her husband the president to bring pressure to have it banned and in 40 years 40 million people, mainly children, died. Now we’ve come to our senses and re-introduced it but only after the fashionable left did their damage.
“Global warming is similar. It makes no sense, is bad science and policies to deal with it will cause terrible problems. People are being indoctrinated and critics are intimidated into silence.”
Is he annoyed at his opponents’ refusal to take him on?
“Actually I’m rather delighted. It means I’m winning.”
Frankly, he’s probably right.
